Convocation of Kolhan University on July 18: Governor to be Chief Guest, 38 to Receive Gold Medals

The sixth convocation of Kolhan University in Jamshedpur will honor 38 students with gold medals. Governor CP Radhakrishnan will be the chief guest. The university has already procured 9 grams of gold for the medals.

JAMSHEDPUR – The sixth convocation of Kolhan University is scheduled to take place on July 18. In a Syndicate meeting chaired by Vice-Chancellor-cum-Commissioner Manoj Kumar, the ceremony was approved.

Jharkhand Governor CP Radhakrishnan Shamil will be invited as the chief guest. The program will be held in the university’s auditorium, honoring 38 gold medalists from various subjects and 17 PhD researchers.

Only the recipients and invitees will be allowed to attend the ceremony, while the remaining students will receive their degrees in separate college programs.

The Vice Chancellor has instructed the office bearers to begin preparations, and a committee has been formed for the smooth execution of the event.

More detailed information about the program will be shared soon. Union Tribal Affairs Minister Arjun Munda is also expected to be invited. Notably, the university has already procured 9 grams of gold for the gold medals, as part of the preparations initiated during the tenure of former Vice-Chancellor Dr. Gangadhar Panda.

The decision to invite the Governor as a guest was made after the approval for the President’s participation couldn’t be obtained.
