Anju Bobby George to Grace Opening Ceremony of Tata Steel Sports Department Summer Camp

Legendary athlete Anju Bobby George will be the Chief Guest at the Tata Steel Sports Department Summer Camp opening ceremony on May 12 at 7 AM.

Jamshedpur: Renowned athlete, Anju Bobby George, will be the Chief Guest during the Opening Ceremony of the Summer Camp on May 12 at 7 AM, held at the JRD Tata Sports Complex.

George is a recipient of the Arjuna Award in 2002, Khel Ratna in 2003, and Padma Shri in 2004 for her outstanding achievements in athletics.

She made history by winning a Bronze Medal in long jump at the 2003 World Championships in Athletics in Paris, becoming the first Indian athlete to win a medal in a World Championships.

Tata Steel Sports Department has received 2000 entries for the camp so far.

This is the last opportunity for children to register for the camp as seats are filling fast.
