Maubhandar youth consumes poison after Facebook girlfriend turns down marriage proposal

Jamshedpur: On being rejected by his girl friend, a youth of Maubhandar, Ghatshila of East Singhbhum district attempted suicide by consuming a poisonous substance. He was referred to MGM Hospital Sunday and now his condition is stable.

He was brought over to MGM Hospital after the local hospital referred him to Jamshedpur. The youth is now under treatment and out of danger.

According to information received, a young person M Kumar became friends with a girl from Kolkata on Facebook. They had a relationship on social media and were in touch. However, the girl later refused to marry him, sending him into an emotional turmoil.

Agitated by rejection, the young guy attempted suicide by consuming poison.

M Kumar was initially treated at a nearby hospital before being sent to MGM Hospital for better care.

R Kumar, M Kumar’s younger brother, said that his brother is employed in Bangalore and that he met the Kolkata girl over Facebook.
