DC inspects vaccination centres, preparations on for walk-in vaccination

Admn is working hard to expand capacities for vaccination. Infrastructure is being readied for providing walk-in vaccination facility.

Jamshedpur: Preparations are afoot to arrange for walk-in vaccination centres in the city as the country braces for a mammoth challenge of completing double vaccination to all adult population of the country this year itself.

A walk-in vaccination center is proposed at Keenan Stadium in Bistupur of the city.

The Deputy Commissioner inspected the available facilities in the city and issued necessary directives.

During this, he also inspected the vaccine centers currently operating at XLRI and Kerala Samajam School and issued instructions for capacity enhancement at both the centres.

Deputy Commissioner Suraj Kumar said that the present capacity of XLRI vaccination centre should be expanded to 8000 does per day from 2000 doses per day.

The DC Suraj Kumar asked the officials to add manpower too. Instructions were given to make necessary arrangements at the ground floor as well as the first floor.

Simultaneously, the capacity of Kerala Samajam Vaccination Centre too would be doubled soon.

The SDM Dhalbhum Sandeep Kumar Meena, Director DRDA Saurabh Kumar Sinha, Dr. Rajan Chaudhary and Dr. Renu of TMH also accompanied the DC during inspection of vaccination facilities.
