2 active Maoists arrested from Sonua in Chaibasa

Chaibasa police arrested two active members of a Maoist outfit from Jhampura Bazar in Sonua.

Chaibasa: In a major success in the anti-naxal drive, Chaibasa police of West Singhbhum district arrested two Maoist members on the basis of a tip-off from Jhampura Bazar area of ​​Sonua on Wednesday.

The Maoist members arrested on Tuesday include D Hembram, a resident of Mundari village under Sonua police station area, and K Boipai alias B Boipai, a resident of Goilkera Narsanda.

After interrogating both the accused, the police sent them to judicial custody on Wednesday.

Police said that the D Hembram is an accused in a case relating to Sonua police station area, while a case was registered against K Boiypai in June 2021.

According to the police, both the accused were involved in planting improvised explosive devices.

Three cases against D Hembram and one against K Boipai were registered in the police station.

Inspector Shankar Prasad of Sonua zone, SI Vikas Kumar of Goilkera, Suman Kumar Kanth, Sonua’s SI Pankaj Kumar and Pawan Kumar Rana and others were a part of the raiding team.
