Fisherman’s body recovered from Jayanti Sarovar in Jubilee Park
Jamshedpur: In a sensational development, the dead body of a fisherman was found in Jayanti Sarovar in Jubilee Park at Bistupur on Tuesday. The incident caused a flutter in the area. The dead body was found floating in the pond.
Jubilee Park has been closed for the last one and a half years due to corona pandemic.
On Tuesday, a dead body was spotted floating in Jayanti Sarovar located inside Jubilee Park in Bistupur, Jamshedpur.
On receiving the information, police arrived there and after some investigations identified the deceased was identified as Santu Namta, a resident of Bhuyandih.
According to family members of the deceased, Santu Namda was untraced since last Sunday.
On Tuesday, his dead body was found floating in the pond.
Family members said that on Sunday, he left the house for fishing. They also claimed that he reached Jayanti Sarovar where security guards allegedly chased him. During the chase he jumped into the pond and could not come out, the family members alleged.
The police took the dead body under their possession and sent it for post mortem.
Police said that the deceased had gone out for fishing and got drowned in the pond. Investigations are on to find out exact reason of death. Police are yet to reach a conclusion.
