Jamshedpur: Miscreants indulged in heavy stone pelting at Hardeep Singh Sodhi’s house in Hemsingh Bagan area under the jurisdiction of Golmuri police station. The stone pelting caused damage to several houses. A nearby ATM too has been reportedly damaged. Several persons were injured.
Golmuri police reached the site of occurrence soon after and started investigations.
The youths indulging in stone-pelting managed to escape.
According to information received, hundreds of miscreants had attacked Hardeep Singh Sodhi’s house.
Hardeep Singh said that on June 4, a camera, light and a few equipments were stolen from his house. CCTV had captured faces of a few youths. On Sunday, a youth was seen near his house and he was nabbed and was being interrogated by the locals when hundreds of people from nearby bustee started pelting stones.
The police are investigating the matter.
