Polling Booth Venue Changed in Ghatshila Assembly Constituency Due to Difficult Terrain and Security Concerns

Government Upgraded Middle School Basadera Polling Booth Relocated to Government Middle School Hiraganj

In a significant move, the Election Commission has approved the relocation of a polling booth in Ghatshila Assembly Constituency, ensuring better accessibility and security.

JAMSHEDPUR – The Election Commission of India has approved the relocation of a polling booth in the Ghatshila (Scheduled Tribe reserved) assembly constituency due to its difficult location.

The Government Upgraded Middle School in Basadera has been moved to Government Middle School in Hiraganj.

This change aims to improve accessibility for voters and address security concerns.

Voters will now cast their ballots at the new polling station on May 25.

The previous location was challenging for voters to reach and lacked adequate arrangements.

Additionally, the area was considered Naxal-affected, further complicating the situation.

The District Election Officer visited the site and recommended the change, which was subsequently approved by the Election Commission.

This move is expected to facilitate smoother voting for residents of Ghatshila.

The relocation underscores the Commission’s commitment to ensuring a safe and accessible voting process for all citizens.

Local voters have welcomed the decision, hoping it will lead to a higher voter turnout.

Authorities are ensuring that all necessary arrangements are in place at the new polling station to accommodate voters efficiently.

This adjustment is part of broader efforts to enhance the electoral process in areas with challenging conditions.
