No Julus-e-Mohammadi procession this year in Jamshedpur due to Corona pandemic

Jamshedpur: No Julus-e-Mohammadi procession would be taken out in Jamshedpur this year on the occasion of Milad Un Nabi. A decision to this effect was taken in a meeting of district administration and the representatives of the Muslim community at Dhatkidih Madarsa Faizul Ulum.

The meeting was attended by Dy SP Arvind Kumar, Bistupur police station in-charge and several representatives of the local Muslim community.

The representatives of Muslim community appealed to the people to celebrate the festival with simplicity and by decorating the mosques and should help the poor people as done every year. They also said that no langars should be held this year in view of the corona pandemic situation and the government guidelines.

Every year on the occasion of Milad Un Nabi a huge procession is taken out by the Muslim community in Jamshedpur. However, keeping the corona situation this year, the decision to not take out the procession has been taken.
