Kamaljit Singh, a resident of the Golmuri thana area, breathed his last late last night. He had been in critical condition since February 24, when a youth identified as Milan attacked him with a chopper. The assault had left him with grievous injuries.

Following the attack, Kamaljit was first rushed to RIMS Hospital for treatment. He was subsequently referred to MGM Hospital, where he eventually succumbed to his injuries.
