In a significant step towards modernizing election procedures, the District Election Officer Ananya Mittal chaired a crucial meeting to introduce the Suvidha App, designed to simplify the process of obtaining permissions for various election-related activities.
JAMSHEDPUR – The District Election Officer Ananya Mittal convened a crucial meeting to provide comprehensive training to administrative and police officials on the innovative Suvidha App, marking a significant step towards streamlining election processes.
Senior officials, including the Senior Superintendent of Police, Kishore Kaushal City SP, PD ITDA, ADM Law and Order, ADC, and ADM (SOR), participated in the event, demonstrating a collective commitment to enhancing electoral procedures.
The introduction of the Suvidha App, developed by the Election Commission, revolutionizes the way candidates and political parties obtain permissions for meetings, rallies, sound systems, helicopters, helipads, and other campaign essentials, through a single-window system.
During the meeting, the District Election Officer emphasized the significance of the Suvidha App in the context of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in 2024, highlighting its user-friendly interface and the ability to submit permission requests online.
The Suvidha App will serve as the primary platform for communication between applicants and relevant authorities, with no objection certificates issued directly through the app, ensuring efficiency and transparency.
Notable attendees at the meeting included the Deputy Election Officer, SDMs from Dhalbhum and Ghatshila, ACMO, Deputy Superintendents of Police, and other key officials, underscoring the widespread collaboration and support for this transformative initiative.
With the Suvidha App in place, candidates and political parties can download the app from the Election Commission of India’s website and obtain permissions seamlessly, from the date of nomination until 48 hours before the conclusion of voting.
This groundbreaking development marks a significant stride towards modernizing electoral practices and ensuring a fair and transparent democratic process, making the election process more accessible, efficient, and inclusive.
