Joyous to see history being made: Prime Minster Narendra Modi

Ayodhya: The Prime Minister Narendra Modi today laid the foundation of Shri Ram Mandir at Ayodhya in a historic Bhoomi Puja event organised on the banks of Saryu river.

After laying the foundation and laying down the first silver brick of the Mandir construction, the Prime Minister also addressed the gathering present there.

In his address telecast live on TV channels, he said: “I am joyous to see history being made. Crores of Indians were waiting for this day. The entire country has become coloured in Ram’s spirit today.”

The ceremony was attended by only 175 people, keeping the Corona situation in mind.

There were only four other people on the dais with the Prime Minister. They included RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, trust chief Nritya Gopaldas Maharaj, UP Governor Anandiben Patel and CM Yogi Adityanath.

Meanwhile, Ayodhya has been fully decorated. Prayers were offered to Lord Hanuamn too, who is treated as the protector and Raja of Ayodhya.
