Temporaries hopeful as production shows incline at Tata Motors

Jamshedpur: With gradual growth in demand, production is picking up pace at Tata Motors. As a consequence, temporary workers are expected to start getting work.

Sources said 50 to 75 vehicles are being manufactured everyday in the current month of June. From 1st July, the figures are expected to go up. From next month, 180 vehicles will be manufactured every day, sources said.

Sources said the gate pass of 150 temporary workers is ready. These workers will be called for work from 1st July. Work load will increase on Plant 1, Plant 3 and Assembly Line.

At present, work is being done in a single shift. Very soon, work would be done in General, A and B shifts, sources said.
