244 Educators from Jharkhand Zone-E Participate in Two-Day Workshop

DAV Public School, Bistupur, Jamshedpur, organized a two-day Capacity Building Programme for In-Service teachers of EEDP, Primary, and Middle Level, starting on March 15, under the guidance of Pragya Singh, Principal cum ARO DAV Public Schools Jharkhand Zone-E.

JAMSHEDPUR – DAV Public School, Bistupur held a two-day Capacity Building Programme for teachers. The programme was lauded for its efficacy and great learning experience by the participants as it helped them learn new techniques and tools.

The programme, characterized by active participation and fruitful discussions, provided a platform for educators to enhance their pedagogical skills and enrich their teaching practices, ultimately benefiting the student community.

The first day of the workshop included a series of sessions covering diverse subjects aimed at familiarizing teachers with recent changes incorporated by CBSE in teaching and learning methodologies, such as an interactive EEDP session on Linguistic Skill Development, Foundational Literacy, Numeracy, and creating a Joyful Classroom environment, as well as a session on English language education highlighting strategies like Deep Reading Plans, Phonetics, Pronunciation, and Classroom Management techniques.

A total of 244 teachers from various schools across Jharkhand Zone-E participated in the workshop, representing institutions such as Tata DAVPS Sijua, DAVPS Khalari, DAVPS Silli, DAVPS Barora, Tata DAVPS Jamadoba, DAVMS C FRI, DAV Mahuda, and DAVPS Bistupur.

Training Coordinator Pragya Singh emphasized the pivotal role of educators in guiding students towards enlightenment, illustrating the importance of education not merely for academic success but also for instilling values essential for making informed decisions in life, conveying this message through anecdotes like ‘A King and A Monk’ and ‘Matsya Nyay’ (Vishnu Puran).

Addressing the gathering during the inaugural ceremony, which commenced with the traditional DAV Gaan and the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, Singh underscored the significance of such workshops in updating teachers with revised curriculum skills, values, and virtues essential for transforming classroom interactions into lifelong learning experiences.

The workshop, conducted under the auspices of DAV CMC, New Delhi, aimed to enhance the skills and competencies of participating educators from EEDP, Primary, and Middle Level.
