Building Collapse in Parsudih Market Causes Alarm

Shopkeepers Unharmed in Balcony Collapse Amid Rain, Urgent Demolition Ordered

A balcony collapse at Parsudih Market during rains prompts immediate demolition orders.

JAMSHEDPUR – A balcony collapse in Parsudih Market has created a flutter in the area.

However, no injuries were reported following the collapse.

The incident led to the collapse of around 12 to 13 shop roofs.

It occurred on a rainy Tuesday evening, causing concern among local shopkeepers.

Dilip Kumar Gupta announced the issuance of demolition notices to 198 shopkeepers.

The Agricultural Market Committee had previously condemned the building.

Shopkeepers had sought repairs six months ago through MLA Mangal Kalindi.

Their appeal to the Deputy Commissioner remained unaddressed after his transfer.

This negligence contributed to the collapse, highlighting the building’s unsafe condition.
