Jamshedpur Golden Baby League Records High Participation in Week 20

The Jamshedpur Golden Baby League, the nation’s longest-running Baby League, has seen impressive participation as it reached Week 20 since its revival on February 26th, 2023.

JAMSHEDPUR – Having resumed operations on February 26th, 2023, the Jamshedpur Golden Baby League, recognised as the longest Baby League in the country, has marked its 20th week with significant participation.

An impressive count of 959 youngsters have participated across the five current age groups so far.

This large number is a crucial achievement for Jamshedpur FC in their quest to develop the nation’s largest and most sophisticated grassroots programme, with even more students expected to join the continually growing Baby League.

The second edition of the Jamshedpur Golden Baby League 2023 has been segmented into U5, U7, U9, U11, and U13 categories for the benefit of children across the city.

The league is being hosted by Jamshedpur FC in collaboration with the Jharkhand Football Association (JFA), the Jharkhand Sporting Association (JSA), and the Reliance Foundation.

The Sunday morning event, held at the JRD Tata Sports Complex’s Archery site, runs alongside Jamshedpur FC’s current after-school grassroots schools programme, providing a comprehensive approach to youth football development.

This past Sunday’s Baby League saw participation from 686 young players: 113 in the U5 division, 174 in the U7 division, 159 in the U9 division, 130 in the U11 division, and 110 in the U13 division.

Each age group participated in multiple games; U5s and U7s played 14, U11s and U13s played 6, and U13s played 5, while the U9s competed in ten different matches.
