UPSC Triumph: Buxar’s Garima Lohia Secures Second Rank, Makes Bihar Proud

Garima Lohia of Buxar, Bihar secures the second position in UPSC Civil Services Exam, becoming a symbol of determination and excellence.

Buxar: Bihar’s Buxar is basking in glory as one of its own, Garima Lohia, secured the second rank in the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Civil Services Exam (CSE) 2022.

The announcement has set off a wave of celebrations and congratulations for her family.

Garima, a native of Buxar, braved adverse circumstances to create history by securing the second position in this prestigious examination.

She began her early education in Buxar and graduated from Kirori Mal College, Delhi. Despite losing her father in 2015, Garima remained focused and motivated to prepare for the civil service examination.

Throughout her preparation journey, Garima drew strength and inspiration from her mother, who stood by her side, staying awake while Garima studied at night. Expressing her joy, Garima said, “I was certain that I would clear UPSC, but I had no idea that I would secure the All India second rank.”

The results have stirred a festive mood in Buxar, especially in the Lohia household located at Buxar’s Piparpati Road Bungalow Ghat. Local residents, friends, and family members are visiting to congratulate the family on this exceptional achievement.

Garima’s achievement has also highlighted the ongoing dominance of female candidates in the Civil Services Examination, with four women making it to the top five.
