Versatile winger returns to bolster Men of Steel’s attack

Jamshedpur’s football scene heats up as former U-17 World Cup player Aniket Jadhav rejoins the club for the upcoming season.

JAMSHEDPUR – Jamshedpur FC has strengthened its offensive lineup with the return of 24-year-old winger Aniket Jadhav on a one-season contract.

The Kolhapur-born player, known for his pace and versatility, returns to familiar territory after successful stints with Hyderabad FC and Odisha FC.

Jadhav’s homecoming brings valuable experience, including an ISL Cup win with Hyderabad and a Super Cup victory with Odisha FC.

"I’m thrilled to be back home at Jamshedpur," Jadhav expressed, emphasizing his eagerness to perform under head coach Khalid Jamil’s guidance.

Coach Jamil highlighted Jadhav’s versatility as a key asset, noting, "Aniket’s ability to play multiple positions significantly enhances our tactical options."

The young winger’s journey includes representing India in the U-17 World Cup and subsequent appearances in friendlies for the national team.

Jadhav’s football career began at Pune FC Academy before he was drafted into India’s U-17 World Cup squad in 2015.

"This is a crucial year for Aniket to showcase his skills," Jamil remarked, hinting at the high expectations and competition within the squad.

The returning player has already joined pre-season training, sporting the number 22 jersey for the Men of Steel.

Jamshedpur FC fans can look forward to seeing Jadhav’s impact as the team aims for success in the upcoming season.
