Young auto driver found hanging at home, declared dead at hospital.
In a tragic incident, a young auto driver from Manifit in the Telco area of Jamshedpur committed suicide late Thursday night.
JAMSHEDPUR – Sachin Rai, a 19-year-old auto driver from Manifit, Telco, was found hanging in his home late Thursday night.
Despite being rushed to MGM Hospital by his family, he was declared dead by the doctors.
The body has been sent for postmortem.
According to Sachin’s father, Ajay Rai, his son had returned home around 11 PM after driving his auto.
He then sent his wife to another room to stay with his mother, citing that he wanted to watch TV.
Sachin’s mother had catering work to attend to and asked him to wake her up if she fell asleep.
Around midnight, Sachin locked the room from inside and kept the TV on.
When his mother knocked on the door and received no response, she called Ajay, who reassured her, thinking Sachin was asleep and couldn’t hear due to the TV.
Upon returning home, Ajay also found the door locked and peered inside using a torch, only to discover Sachin hanging by a scarf.
They rushed him to the hospital, but it was too late.
The incident has been reported to the police, who are now investigating further.
