Rain, Storm Bring Relief to Jharkhand’s Heatwave, Cause Property Damage

Weather Disturbances Expected to Continue Across the State, Affecting Various Districts

Heavy rain and thunderstorms hit Jharkhand on Wednesday evening, providing a break from the scorching heat and humidity.

RANCHI – Intense weather, including rain and thunderstorms, impacted Jharkhand on Wednesday evening, offering a respite from the intense heat and humidity.

Dr. Abhishek Anand from the Meteorological Department’s Ranchi Center predicted that this weather pattern will continue, with the likelihood of more storms throughout the state.

Numerous districts are expected to see rain on Thursday.

In Jamshedpur, the highest temperature recorded was 38.2 degrees Celsius, with a low of 28 degrees Celsius.

The city experienced 29 mm of rain.

Palamu district saw the highest temperatures, with Seraikela reaching 40.9 degrees Celsius and West Singhbhum at 38.1 degrees Celsius.

Power outages affected rural parts of Jamshedpur.

Waterlogging caused difficulties for pedestrians in various areas.

The storm caused substantial damage to properties, with many homes losing their roofs.

In Amchudiya village of Barakhurshi Panchayat, several families faced significant losses.

The roofs of their houses were blown away, damaging stored ration and other essentials.

Residents of these areas are dealing with the aftermath of the storm.

Authorities are assessing the damage and working to provide relief to those affected.

Efforts are also underway to restore power and clear waterlogged areas.
