JAMSHEDPUR – A sudden brawl between two groups near Gate No. 1 of Sakchi Market sent the busy shopping area into a panic, leaving two young men injured and prompting a swift police response.

According to available information, a verbal spat broke out between some ragpickers operating in the market area and a group of shoppers. The argument quickly turned heated. It soon escalated into an open physical confrontation, creating chaos among bystanders in the crowded market.

One of the injured youth sustained a head wound in the clash. The other suffered an injury to his leg during the scuffle.

A traffic personnel named Imtiyaz, who was posted at the spot, noticed the situation deteriorating. He immediately alerted the police. The Jharkhand Police Tiger Mobile team responded promptly and reached the location without delay.

The team apprehended members of both groups. They were taken to Sakchi Police Station for questioning. The swift intervention prevented the situation from spiralling further, averting what could have been a more serious incident.

Both injured youths were sent to MGM Hospital for treatment. They were undergoing medical care at the time of reporting.

Violent disputes in Jamshedpur’s commercial areas have been reported on earlier occasions as well. Meanwhile, the police have launched a full inquiry into the incident. Both parties are being interrogated to establish the sequence of events. The market area returned to normalcy after police intervention.
