JAMSHEDPUR – A violent clash between two groups broke out in Jamshedpur on Monday following a minor altercation between children at a tuition class.

According to local reports, the fight between students soon escalated when adults from both sides joined in. The situation turned violent near the Sakchi and Bistupur police station areas, creating panic for nearly an hour.

Meanwhile, angry mobs targeted the DC Lounge Salon in Bistupur, damaging property and causing tension in the area. Witnesses alleged that weapons were used during the altercation and that some women were also mistreated during the chaos.

However, police teams from both Sakchi and Bistupur rushed to the scene. Officers intervened to control the situation and sent the injured to hospitals for treatment.

An official said that preliminary investigations are underway to identify those involved. “We are analyzing CCTV footage and speaking to both parties,” a police source stated.

On the other hand, residents questioned how a small dispute among children could take a communal turn. Authorities are now probing whether any external influence triggered the unrest.
