JAMSHEDPUR – An unidentified woman’s body was recovered from a nala in the Rajnagar area, triggering concern across nearby settlements.
The half-clothed remains were spotted in the Kusumbani nala. Moreover, locals informed police at once. Rajnagar officers reached the site promptly and secured the body. However, senior officials reviewed the case the next morning. SDPO Samir Savaiya visited the station. DSP Pooja Kumari also examined the case file. They later inspected the site and issued directions to the inquiry team.
Police indicated that drowning appears likely. In addition, the condition of the remains suggests death occurred 8 to 10 days earlier. Officers have yet to confirm her identity. Investigators found a sari near the site. Moreover, bangles remained on the woman’s wrists. The team aims to establish her identity through these items. An officer said, “We are scanning every angle to reach the truth.”
Similar recoveries in the district have been reported in past months. Earlier, a dead body recovered case drew attention. Another report detailed a forest recovery.
