JAMSHEDPUR – The district administration has moved into alert mode ahead of Durga Puja immersions, with Deputy Commissioner Karn Satyarthi inspecting river ghats across the city.
The review covered several key locations, including Bhojpur Ghat in Baridih, Pandey Ghat in Bhuiyandih, Mango Ghat, Domuhani Ghat in Sonari, the Kadma river ghat, and Baronda Ghat in Bagbera. Officials present included the DTO, the Deputy Municipal Commissioner, the SDO, and other administrative staff.
During the inspection, Satyarthi instructed Puja committee members to remain present at their respective ghats during the immersion process. He emphasized that all arrangements related to electricity, water supply, and safety will be provided at each location.
Moreover, he directed that any shortcomings identified at the ghats should be corrected before the immersion ceremonies. He assured that necessary facilities would be readied in time.
A local official noted, “The administration is committed to ensuring safe and smooth immersions for all Puja committees.”
