Saryu Roy Accuses Dhullu Mahto of Land Grabbing, BJP Defends Candidate

Saryu Roy Alleges BJP’s Dhullu Mahato of Forcefully Occupying Villagers’ Land

Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Roy has launched a campaign against BJP candidate Dhullu Mahato from Dhanbad, accusing him of land grabbing.

RANCHI – Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Roy has launched a scathing attack against BJP candidate Dhullu Mahato from Dhanbad, accusing him of forcefully occupying land.

The accusations from Saryu Roy have sparked a war of words between the two political figures.

Roy has alleged that Dhullu Mahato has illegally taken over land belonging to more than 50 villagers by constructing a boundary wall.

According to Rai, Mahato has encroached upon 200 acres of land in Darida and Ledhidumar Mauza.

The BJP, in response, has come out in defense of Mahato, urging Roy to focus on his home constituency of Jamshedpur East.

Former mayor and BJP leader Chandrashekhar Aggarwal criticized Rai, stating that democracy does not function through rhetoric.

Aggarwal also pointed out that Roy had initially announced his intention to contest elections from Dhanbad but later retracted.

Roy has claimed that Mahato is pressuring farmers to sell their land at lower prices and has constructed walls higher than prison barriers around the land.

He further stated that protesting farmers are being told to access their land by helicopter, indicating the severity of the encroachment.

The BJP has dismissed these allegations, maintaining their support for Mahato as the Dhanbad candidate.

The ongoing dispute highlights the contentious nature of local politics in the region.

Both parties continue to stand firm on their respective positions as the conflict escalates.
