JAMSHEDPUR – Parsudih police achieved a breakthrough in the Ravi Yadav shooting case by arresting arms supplier Vivek Raj and sending him to jail.
The arrest followed interrogation of accused Nihal Tiwari, Rehan Khan, and Sameer Singh alias Pandu during police remand. However, all three confessed their role and revealed that the weapon came from Raj.
On their disclosure, police recovered a country-made pistol, a katta, a mobile phone, and a scooter used in the crime. Earlier, accused Sameer Singh, Sanju Verma, and Vivek Sah had already been jailed on August 11.
The incident occurred on August 5 around 6 p.m. when three assailants on a scooter shot Ravi Yadav, leaving him injured. He has since been under medical treatment.
Meanwhile, the investigation revealed the chain of supply and the role of multiple accomplices. A police official stated, “The swift action helped us crack the case within 15 days.”
The timely efforts of Parsudih police led to the unraveling of the entire conspiracy and recovery of the crime weapons.
