Work Limited To Site Clearing As Engineers Plan Revised Design

JAMSHEDPUR – Construction of a four-lane bridge between Litti Chowk and NH 33 faces delays over design concerns.

Current activities focus only on bush clearing near Mango. Moreover, engineers have identified problems with bridge alignment.

“Part of the design extends into Subarnarekha river,” Deepak Sahay, Executive Engineer explained. Meanwhile, survey teams prepare revised plans.

Project Details

The state government allocated Rs 44 crore for construction. Furthermore, Rs 33 crore covers land acquisition costs.

Tata Steel has offered 20-30% required land. Additionally, they provided necessary clearance through NOC.

Traffic Solutions

The bridge promises relief from daily congestion. Moreover, it offers alternate routes for industrial vehicles.

Heavy vehicles currently crowd city areas. However, the new bridge will bypass congested zones.

Revised Planning

Road Construction Department engineers review alignment issues. Meanwhile, preparation work continues at the site.

The project targets completion within 18 months. Besides, it will connect directly to National Highway 33.
