Jharkhand records 147 new positive cases, total reaches 1290

Ranchi: The number of Covid-19 positive cases in Jharkhand has seen a record surge during the last 24 hours in Jharkhand. In all, 147 new cases were confirmed in the state on Monday, while the total number of infected persons has reached 1290.

The number of new confirmed positive cases recorded on Sunday was 113, while on Monday the new cases reached 147. Till date, a total of 7 persons have lost their lives due to Covid-19, while 490 patients have recovered fully.

47 new cases have been found in Simdega district, while Chatra district has reported 17 new cases on Monday. Deoghar has reported 5, Giridih and East Singhbhum one each, Dhanbad 19, Gumla 15, Hazaribagh 3, Garhwa 5, Jamtara 9, Khunti 3, Latehar 6, Lohardagga 3, Pakur 12, Ramgarh 2 and Simdega 46.

East Singhbhum has the maximum number of Corona positive patients and till date has reported 173 confirmed cases. 144 out of these are active cases currently.
