JAMSHEDPUR – Influenced by NDA candidate Saryu Rai, Congress leader Bablu Rai formally joined the JDU on Monday, marking a significant shift in Jamshedpur’s political landscape.

During an event at Rajasthan Bhawan, Bablu Rai received the NDA’s ceremonial scarf from Saryu Rai himself as he joined the JDU alongside several other notable individuals from the Jamshedpur region.

The move is seen as a boost for the NDA, particularly in the Jamshedpur West constituency, where the party aims to solidify its voter base ahead of the upcoming elections.

Accompanying Rai were prominent figures, including Nanya Kumar Singh, Ritik Singh, and Vishnu Awasthi, who were also inducted into JDU’s membership under the NDA banner.

Further expanding the party’s reach, Tuesday saw additional names like Anubhav Agrawal and Shyam Jesuka joining the JDU.

These new members are expected to strengthen the party’s local influence, as JDU continues to attract various leaders and community representatives from across Jamshedpur.

According to Rai, his decision was driven by Saryu Rai’s dedication to development and his work for the region, indicating a shift in loyalty motivated by local leadership and public service focus.
