East Singhbhum Player Claims Top Honors in Rapid and Blitz Categories

JAMSHEDPUR – The state-level Rapid and Blitz Chess Competition concluded at Sarala Birla University with remarkable performances.

Abhishek Das dominated both categories of the tournament. He claimed first place in Rapid and Blitz sections.

“The competition showcased exceptional talent,” noted a chess official. Meanwhile, players from various districts demonstrated strong skills.

Rapid Category Results

Bokaro’s Ankit Kumar Singh secured second position. Moreover, Ranchi’s Vibhas Kumar Sinha finished third.

However, West Singhbhum players showed impressive form. Both Manish Sharma and Rajesh Kumar scored 6.5 points.

Blitz Category Standings

East Singhbhum continued its strong showing. Debanjan Sinha claimed the runner-up position.

Meanwhile, Hazaribagh’s Abhas secured third place. Furthermore, East Singhbhum players Rohit and Debanjan Sasmal completed the top five.

Award Ceremony

Hazaribagh District Chess Association President Vijay Kumar Singh presided over the ceremony. Additionally, several chess officials attended.

The event highlighted chess development in Jharkhand. Besides, Shubhangi Verma conducted the closing ceremony.
