Tata Steel UISL and CII Propel Adityapur’s Green Energy Transformation with Rooftop Solar Initiative

Tata Steel UISL’s collaboration with CII Eastern region marks a pivotal moment in Adityapur Industrial Area’s journey towards sustainable energy solutions, focusing on rooftop solar adoption for a greener future.

JAMSHEDPUR – The commitment to renewable energy in the Adityapur Industrial Area took a significant leap forward with the recent groundbreaking Conference on Rooftop Solar Adoption.

Organized by Tata Steel UISL in partnership with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Eastern region, the event at the Adityapur Auto Cluster highlighted the growing emphasis on sustainable energy solutions.

Key industry experts, including Vijay Shankar from Climatex and Satish Ojha from Tata Capital, shared insights on green energy and lease options for rooftop solar installations.

Sumiran LRaj from Sidbi discussed various low-interest financing options for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) looking to install rooftop solar systems.

Sunil Chengappa of Candi elaborated on the Operational Expenditure (OPEX) model for rooftop solar installations and promised to provide standard Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) terms to industrialists.

Kalyan Bhaskar, a Professor at XLRI, shared his experience in commissioning a 300KW solar rooftop project and its accrued benefits.

Ranjot Singh, Vice Chairman of CII Jharkhand State Council, in his address, emphasized the significance of rooftop solar adoption, linking it to the global movement towards a greener and safer planet.

Ritu Raj Sinha, Managing Director of Tata Steel UISL and Convenor of the CII Jharkhand Sustainability & Energy Panel, reiterated the company’s commitment to environmental responsibility, highlighting the role of rooftop solar technology in reducing carbon footprint and setting industry benchmarks.

The presence of Ritu Raj Sinha and Ranjot Singh as the Chief Guest and Guest of Honor, respectively, underscored the importance of collaborative efforts in addressing sustainable energy challenges.
