Tata Steel West Bokaro Hosts Successful 13th Annual Flower and Vegetable Show

Cultural Extravaganza and Green Initiatives Shine in West Bokaro

WEST BOKARO – The 13th Annual Flower and Vegetable Show hosted by Tata Steel’s West Bokaro Division concluded on January 5, 2025, with much fanfare. The event, held at the Tata Steel Sports Complex from January 3 to January 5, showcased vibrant displays and activities promoting environmental consciousness.

Deputy Commissioner of Ramgarh, Chandan Kumar (IAS), attended as the chief guest, while Ramgarh DFO Nitish Kumar (IFS) was the guest of honor. The event was led by Anurag Dixit, General Manager of Tata Steel’s West Bokaro Division.

Highlights of the Event

The exhibition featured 54 stalls, including participation from schools, vendors, and local organizations, along with 7 food stalls. Competitions in sand painting, rangoli, sketch painting, and art and craft added creative flair to the event. Additionally, cultural programs celebrating Jharkhand’s heritage were a major attraction.

Chandan Kumar praised the efforts of the organizers, stating, “Every year, this event brings innovative ideas and increases our sensitivity towards nature.”

Recognizing Talent and Community Engagement

The dignitaries distributed prizes to winners of various competitions, acknowledging the talent and efforts displayed. The event saw participation from thousands of community members, enjoying both the exhibits and performances.

Senior officials from Tata Steel, including Rajesh Patel, Chief of Quarry AB; Mazhar Ali, Chief of Engineering & Projects; Mrinal Bhadra, Chief of Quarry SE; and Praveen, Head of Planning, attended the occasion alongside union members, employees, and the local community.
