JAMSHEDPUR – A tragic road accident near Utkal Auto under the Adityapur police station area on Sunday night claimed the life of a 30-year-old biker, Ajay Bhumij. The victim, a resident of Kadma Bhatia Basti, succumbed to his injuries after being rushed to MGM Hospital by locals. Doctors declared him dead upon arrival.

Accident Details

Ajay Bhumij was returning home after dropping his wife, Reshma Bhumij, at her parental home in Kandra when the accident occurred. While traveling on the Adityapur-Kandra main road, an unidentified heavy vehicle hit his bike, leaving him critically injured. Despite the efforts of locals to rush him to the hospital, he could not survive.

Grieving Family

The deceased’s family identified his body at the hospital on Monday morning. Ajay’s brother-in-law, Sanjay Singh, shared that Ajay had been married for only two years. He worked as a machine operator in a company within the Adityapur industrial area. The sudden tragedy has left the family devastated, with relatives inconsolable over the loss.

Police have conducted a post-mortem and handed over the body to the family. Investigations are underway to identify the vehicle involved in the accident.
