JAMSHEDPUR – The fourth edition of The Great Jharkhand Run and Master Athletic Championship, organized by the Master Athletic Association of Jharkhand, concluded successfully at the JRD Tata Sports Complex in Jamshedpur.
Participation Across Ages and Events
The championship featured competitions in running, walking, shot put, discus throw, javelin throw, long jump, and triple jump. Athletes from diverse age groups, ranging from 8 years to over 85 years, showcased their talent. Both male and female participants competed across various categories.
Jharkhand Athletics Association President Vijay Singh shared details of the event. He highlighted that this was the first-of-its-kind championship hosted in Jamshedpur. More than 1000 athletes and 120 technical officials from 17 districts of Jharkhand participated.
Events for Women Athletes
Specific events were conducted for women participants, including 100-200 meters sprints, 1-kilometer race walking, long jump, shot put, discus throw, and javelin throw. The championship provided a platform for seasoned and emerging athletes to display their skills.
