JAMSHEDPUR – Shiv Shankar Singh officially submitted his nomination as an independent candidate following a fallout with BJP.

Singh, accompanied by a large convoy of supporters, arrived at the Dhalbhum SDO office to file his papers.

Along the procession route, supporters showered him with flowers, showcasing enthusiasm for his candidacy.

Upon reaching the barricaded Deputy Commissioner’s office, Singh proceeded with five colleagues to complete the legal formalities.

In a brief statement, Singh clarified that he had no personal desire to become a legislator or MP.

However, recent developments and requests from party workers led him to contest.

Without directly naming former Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das, Singh hinted that his battle was with a "major family of Jamshedpur."

He expressed confidence that the people of East Jamshedpur would ensure his victory.
