Key Points:

– Dr. Ajoy Kumar accuses BJP of nepotism in Assembly ticket distribution.

– Calls out BJP’s lack of local leadership in Jamshedpur East.

JAMSHEDPUR – Congress leader and former MP Dr. Ajoy Kumar has accused the BJP of nepotism, highlighting the party’s double standards on family politics.

In a press statement issued on Sunday, Dr. Ajoy Kumar criticized the BJP for granting Assembly election tickets to relatives of prominent leaders.

He specifically pointed to the tickets given to Raghuvar Das’s daughter-in-law Purnima Das Sahu, Arjun Munda’s wife Meera Munda, and Champai Soren’s son Baboolal Soren.

Dr. Kumar sarcastically remarked that the BJP seems to believe that giving tickets to the wives, daughters-in-law, and sons of senior leaders does not count as nepotism.

He questioned why, despite being the "world’s largest party," the BJP could not find a single deserving local candidate for the Jamshedpur East seat.

According to Dr. Ajoy, this reveals the party’s reliance on family dynasties rather than merit.

He further criticized the BJP for failing to address basic needs in the Jamshedpur East constituency over the last 25 years, despite its long hold on power.

Dr. Ajoy also claimed that the people of Jamshedpur East were deceived by the family that had dominated politics there for decades, and that even with Raghuvar Das as Chief Minister, the city’s residents did not gain ownership rights to their land.

He urged the public to reflect on these issues and make an informed decision in the upcoming elections.
