JAMSHEDPUR – Anganwadi workers in Jamshedpur have been protesting for three days demanding better wages and retirement benefits.

MLA Mangal Kalindi met with the protesting Anganwadi workers and Sahiyas on Tuesday outside the district headquarters, where the indefinite strike is ongoing.

The workers shared their concerns regarding inadequate pay and the absence of proper retirement benefits.

In response, Kalindi suggested that the workers submit a written demand letter to all local legislators.

He assured the protesters that once this was done, all legislators would collectively present the issue to the government to seek a resolution.

The protest highlights the long-standing issues faced by Anganwadi workers in the region, who have been demanding fair treatment and benefits for years.

Kalindi’s meeting brought hope of a possible resolution, but the workers remain firm on continuing their protest until tangible action is taken.
