JAMSHEDPUR – Chief Minister Hemant Soren is set to lay the foundation stone for a crucial bridge project spanning the Swarnarekha River.

The bridge will connect Litti Chowk in Jamshedpur to NH 33 at Bhilai Pahari.

Moreover, the foundation stone ceremony will be conducted online on October 4, 2024.

Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Rai shared this information with the public.

On the other hand, the project encompasses more than just the bridge construction.

It includes a 4 km bridge and a 3.68 km approach road.

Furthermore, the estimated cost of the entire project is Rs 39.92 crore.

M/s Satish Prasad of Ranchi has been awarded the contract for this significant infrastructure project.

Meanwhile, MLA Rai plans to stage a sit-in protest at the East Singhbhum Deputy Commissioner’s office.

The protest, scheduled for October 1, aims to demand the execution of pending projects.

However, Rai expressed optimism about the upcoming online foundation stone ceremony.

He emphasized the benefits the new access road would bring to Mango residents.

"This project will significantly reduce traffic congestion in the city," a knowledgeable source stated.

The new route is expected to be particularly beneficial for heavy vehicles.

These vehicles will now be able to bypass the city center, easing traffic flow.

In addition, the project is anticipated to be completed by 2026.

Consequently, residents can look forward to improved connectivity in the coming years.

The bridge project represents a major infrastructure development for Jamshedpur.

Besides easing traffic, it’s expected to boost economic activities in the region.

This development aligns with ongoing efforts to enhance Jamshedpur’s urban infrastructure.
