JAMSHEDPUR – A local hospital’s swift action in performing an emergency angioplasty saves a 67-year-old man’s life, highlighting the importance of timely cardiac care.

Karu Nandan Pathak, 67, from Chaibasa, West Singhbhum, arrived at Brahmananda Narayana Hospital with severe chest pain.

The patient had previously sought help from local doctors without finding relief.

Upon admission, Dr. Ajay Kumar Agarwal and his team conducted urgent tests.

An ECG revealed Pathak’s critical heart condition.

Moreover, a coronary angiography showed significant blockages in two of his three coronary arteries.

Recognizing the urgency, the medical team proceeded with an immediate angioplasty.

The procedure successfully opened Pathak’s blocked arteries.

Dr. Agarwal emphasized the importance of timely intervention in heart attacks.

"Time is critical in such cases," the cardiologist stated.

He further explained that patients treated early have a much better chance of survival.

However, many patients delay seeking help, which can worsen their condition.

Following the procedure, Pathak’s condition stabilized rapidly.

The hospital discharged him two days later in good health.

"We are equipped to handle medical emergencies efficiently," the Facility Director commented.

Furthermore, he highlighted the hospital’s commitment to providing comprehensive care.

The successful treatment underscores the importance of advanced cardiac care facilities in the region.
