MLA Saryu Roy inspected several wards, including the emergency ward, at MGM Hospital and found multiple issues.
JAMSHEDPUR – MLA Saryu Roy conducted an inspection of MGM Hospital, uncovering several shortcomings.
During his visit, Roy inspected various wards, including the emergency ward, and noted significant deficiencies in the hospital’s operations.
He also leveled serious allegations against Health Minister Banna Gupta, accusing him of irregularities and mismanagement.
According to Roy, the hospital’s administration is involved in ‘squeezing resources’ under the pretense of purchasing X-ray machines, medicines, and other equipment.
He further alleged that a public representative is being seated in a room next to the hospital superintendent to facilitate these activities.
Roy criticized the poor state of the hospital, pointing out that it is shameful for a facility in a city where the same individual has served as both Chief Minister and Health Minister for five years.
He stated, "It is unacceptable that instead of improving the hospital’s condition, there is ongoing ‘squeezing resources’ under the guise of administrative work."
The inspection has raised concerns about the hospital’s functioning and the alleged misuse of authority.
Roy’s statements have brought attention to the urgent need for reforms at MGM Hospital.
