JNAC Imposes Rs 15,900 in Fines for Dengue Prevention Violations

JAMSHEDPUR – JNAC imposes Rs 15,900 in fines as part of an intensified dengue prevention drive, targeting identified hotspots.

The Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) has stepped up its efforts to combat dengue by imposing fines on those violating prevention guidelines.

A specialized team, formed under Deputy Municipal Commissioner Krishna Kumar’s direction, is spearheading the campaign.

The team conducts thorough inspections of water storage containers in homes and businesses to prevent mosquito breeding.

Areas such as Bhuiyandih, Baridih, Sakchi, Baradwari, Vijaya Heritage, and Burmamines have been identified as dengue hotspots.

In these areas, the team is intensifying its efforts to check for mosquito larvae and apply anti-mosquito sprays when necessary.

A meeting held at the JNAC office on Friday focused on strengthening the campaign and enforcing fines more strictly.

Key officials, including Special Officer Arvind Tirkey and Town Planner Apoorva Tomar, participated in the strategy session.

Deputy Municipal Commissioner Krishna Kumar stated, "Our dedicated team is working tirelessly to inspect homes and eliminate mosquito larvae. We are committed to preventing dengue through rigorous enforcement and public education."

A local health expert commented, "The JNAC’s proactive approach, combining awareness, inspections, and fines, is crucial in controlling the spread of dengue in Jamshedpur."

The campaign aims not only to penalize violators but also to educate residents about the importance of maintaining a clean environment to prevent mosquito breeding.

Residents are urged to cooperate with the JNAC team and take necessary precautions to keep their surroundings free from potential mosquito breeding sites.
