Industry leaders gather to discuss sustainability and net-zero emissions strategies
CII Jharkhand Green Conclave 2024 brings together experts to explore sustainable practices and green technologies.
JAMSHEDPUR – The CII Jharkhand Green Conclave 2024 gathered industry leaders to discuss sustainability and green technologies at Jamshedpur.
The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) organized the event on August 28, 2024, at the Centre for Excellence in Jamshedpur. The conclave focused on the theme "Creating Future Ready Green Ecosystem," aiming to explore emerging green technologies and strategies for achieving net-zero emissions.
Ranjot Singh, Chairman of the CII Jharkhand State Council, inaugurated the event, emphasizing the urgency of sustainable practices.
"Green and sustainability is a very serious subject. We all must get together. What to do can be found, and when to do it is now, but how to do it is the challenge we must overcome together," Singh stated during his address.
Dr. Amit Ranjan Chakraborty, Convenor of the CII Jharkhand Sustainability, Environment Energy Panel, highlighted the importance of the three pillars of sustainability: Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG).
Ritu Raj Sinha, Vice Chairman of the CII Jharkhand State Council, called for a collective commitment to sustainability at both corporate and individual levels.
N Muthusezhiyan, Deputy Executive Director of the CII-Sohrabji Godrej Green Business Centre, emphasized that "green" should be viewed as a crucial compliance for businesses today.
Rohit Goyal, Co-Convenor of the CII Jharkhand MSME Panel, stressed the importance of ESG integration for MSMEs, stating, "It enhances their competitive edge by fostering sustainability, resilience, and ethical practices."
The conclave featured insights from various eminent speakers, including professors from XLRI, industry leaders, and sustainability experts.
Participants gained valuable knowledge on the latest trends in sustainability and ESG, while also benefiting from networking opportunities to forge partnerships and explore new business prospects.
The event served as a crucial platform for knowledge sharing, collaboration, and action, aiming to chart a course for a sustainable, future-ready green ecosystem in India.
