Passersby Save Jugsalai Resident From Jumping Into River

JAMSHEDPUR – A young woman was rescued on Sunday while she was trying to jump off the Mango Bada bridge in Jamshedpur.

Eyewitnesses said the woman had already climbed the safety grill. She was about to leap when passersby noticed her and pulled her back to safety. Locals immediately informed the police and handed her over to them.

The woman has been identified as a resident of Jugsalai. The reason behind her attempt has not yet been established. Police are investigating the matter.

Residents pointed out that despite safety grills, several incidents of attempted suicides have been reported at the Mango bridge in recent months.
