Tata Steel Invites Applications for Aspiring Engineer Program

Special Recruitment Drive for Women; Selected Candidates to Receive Engineering Training.

Tata Steel has announced the invitation of applications for its Aspiring Engineer Program, with a special focus on women candidates.

JAMSHEDPUR – Tata Steel is inviting applications for its Aspiring Engineer Program, a unique initiative aimed at providing engineering training to selected candidates.

This year, the company has introduced a special recruitment drive for women.

Selected applicants will undergo a one-year training program, and those who perform exceptionally well during the training will be considered for the position of Assistant Manager at IS-6 level.

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates must hold a BE, B.Tech, or B.Sc. Engineering degree in disciplines such as Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Power Electronics, Mechanical, Metallurgy, Mineral, Mining, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Mechatronics.

Additionally, those with an M.Tech or M.Sc. in Geology, Geophysics, Remote Sensing, or Geoinformatics are also eligible to apply.

Candidates who have completed a three-year diploma course and are in their second or final year of a Direct Engineering program can also apply.

Only those who passed their exams by March 2020 from an AICTE-approved institution are eligible.

General category applicants must have a minimum CGPA of 6.5 or 65% marks, while transgender, PwD, SC, and ST candidates need a minimum CGPA of 6.0 or 60% marks.

Applicants must be domiciled in Jharkhand or Odisha.

Age Limit:

The age limit for general category candidates is set at 30 years, while transgender, PwD, and SC-ST candidates can apply until the age of 32.

During the one-year training, selected candidates will receive a stipend of ₹30,000 per month.

They will also be provided with Mediclaim benefits, including ₹2.50 lakh coverage for hospitalization and ₹6,000 per year for OPD expenses.

After completing the training, selected candidates will be appointed as Assistant Managers with an annual package (CTC) of ₹7 lakh.

Applications can be submitted through the Tata Steel website until September 4, 2024.

Permanent employees of Tata Steel are not eligible to apply for this program.
