Black Belt holders Niraj Kumar and Karnisha Das recognized for their achievements
Two accomplished Karatekas were honored for their international success at Jamshedpur’s 78th Independence Day celebrations.
JAMSHEDPUR – International Gold Medalists in Karate, Niraj Kumar and Karnisha Das, were honored by Jharkhand’s Health Minister at Gopal Maidan during Independence Day celebrations.
The ceremony saw the presence of key officials from East Singhbhum district.
Banna Gupta, Minister of Health, Medical Education, and Family Welfare, presented the honors to the Karatekas.
Both Kumar and Das hold Black Belts and have represented India in various international tournaments.
The distinguished athletes have competed in countries including Bangladesh and Nepal.
Ananya Mittal, IAS, Deputy Commissioner of East Singhbhum, was among the prominent attendees.
Other notable figures present included Manish Kumar (DDC), Kaushal Kishore (Senior SP), and Rishav Garg (City SP).
The honored Karatekas are senior students at the Tata Steel Karate Training Centre.
Kumar and Das are actively involved in training young Karate enthusiasts in Jamshedpur.
District Sports Officer Avinesh Tripathy was acknowledged for his role in facilitating the recognition.
The event highlighted Jamshedpur’s commitment to recognizing and promoting local sporting talent.
