Champai Soren honors Nirmal Mahto, calling him a revolutionary leader of Jharkhand.
Former Chief Minister Champai Soren paid tribute to Shaheed Nirmal Mahto on his 37th Martyrdom Day at Chamaria Guest House in Bistupur.
JAMSHEDPUR – On the 37th Martyrdom Day of Shaheed Nirmal Mahto, former Chief Minister Champai Soren honored his statue at the main gate of Chamaria Guest House in Bistupur.
Soren described Nirmal Mahto as a great revolutionary and a leading warrior for the separate state of Jharkhand.
He stated that the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha sets its agenda for the year on this day, and Mahto’s sacrifice made the dream of a separate Jharkhand state a reality.
He emphasized that Nirmal Mahto’s contributions will never be forgotten.
After the tribute, the former CM proceeded to the martyr’s memorial site in Uliyan, Kadma, where Chief Minister Hemant Soren is expected to attend.
A gathering is also organized at the site.
Meanwhile, Savita Mahto, former MLA of Ichagarh and wife of Nirmal Mahto’s younger brother, paid homage to Nirmal Mahto along with her family at the Uliyan memorial site.
The event serves as a reminder of the sacrifices made for the formation of Jharkhand and honors the legacy of Nirmal Mahto.
