Community groups join hands to distribute saplings at Gopal Maidan.

In a joint effort to promote environmental conservation, members of various community organizations distributed 500 saplings to pedestrians near Gopal Maidan in Jamshedpur.

JAMSHEDPUR – Community organizations distributed 500 saplings to pedestrians at Gopal Maidan for environmental conservation.

East Singhbhum District Marwari Sammelan, International Vaishya Mahasammelan, Lions Club of Jamshedpur, International Agarwal Sammelan, and Gujarati Sanatan Saheli collaborated for this initiative.

Mukesh Mittal, President of East Singhbhum District Marwari Sammelan, inaugurated the event along with representatives from partner organizations.

In his speech, Mittal emphasized the importance of environmental protection and the "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam" initiative, which encourages planting trees in honor of one’s mother.

BJP Jamshedpur District President Sudhanshu Ojha, the chief guest, highlighted the urgent need for environmental conservation.

Ojha stated, "Environmental protection is more crucial now than ever. Planting a tree is a small step but can have a significant impact."

Other notable speakers included Jharkhand State President of the International Vaishya Conference, Shankarlal Mittal, President of Lions Club of Jamshedpur, Shashi Gadia, and Vice President of International Agarwal Sammelan, Shravan Debuka.

They stressed the significance of the event in raising awareness and encouraging the community to contribute to a greener environment.

Over 500 saplings of various types, including fruit-bearing, flowering, and shade-giving plants, were distributed.

Organizers ensured that each recipient received guidance on proper planting and care.

The event aimed to address the growing environmental concerns due to rapid urbanization, industrialization, and population growth.

Participants received expert advice on plant care and the importance of maintaining greenery to combat climate change and global warming.

Members of all participating organizations actively encouraged their members and the public to join the initiative.

The program not only distributed saplings but also spread awareness about the importance of environmental conservation.

This collective effort serves as an example of how community action can contribute to preserving the environment for future generations.
