JAMSHEDPUR – The Adivasi Chhatra Ekta and other organizations have called for a Kolhan bandh on July 31st to protest recent incidents, including violence against a family in Titirbila village of Seraikela-Kharsawan district.

Josai Mardi, chief patron of Adivasi Chhatra Ekta, stated the bandh aims to counter attempts to dispossess tribals of their land.

A torch rally will be held on July 30th in various locations including Jamshedpur, Ghatshila, and Chaibasa.

Over a dozen organizations are supporting the bandh call, including Manki Munda Sangh and Jharkhand Andolankari Manch.

The protesters plan to take to the streets on July 31st to register their dissent.
