In a groundbreaking move, the National Dairy Development Board and Tata Power’s subsidiary have united to integrate renewable energy across India’s dairy industry, aiming to enhance sustainability and efficiency in milk production.

JAMSHEDPUR – The dairy sector in India is set for a green revolution as the National Dairy Development Board partners with TP Renewable Microgrid to implement eco-friendly energy solutions throughout the milk value chain.

The agreement was formalized in the presence of high-ranking officials from both organizations.

The collaboration aims to solarize various dairy facilities using advanced microgrid technology.

A village in Gujarat’s Anand district is slated to become carbon-neutral through this initiative.

The partnership will introduce biogas generators that utilize cattle dung as a fuel source.

Energy-efficient cooking stoves and solar-powered equipment will be implemented to improve operations.

Comprehensive energy audits are planned to identify areas for sustainable improvements.

This alliance is expected to set new standards for environmental responsibility in the dairy industry.

The initiative aligns with India’s goals for increased adoption of renewable energy and rural development.

Both parties expressed enthusiasm about the potential impact on sustainability and operational efficiency.
