Cardiologist Dr. Santosh Gupta Launches Free Healthcare Scheme for Temple Priests

NMO initiative to provide comprehensive medical services to Acharyas and their families

Jamshedpur cardiologist Dr. Santosh Gupta introduces a free healthcare program for temple priests, starting in Mango area, under the National Medical Organization banner.

JAMSHEDPUR – A novel healthcare initiative for temple priests and Acharyas has been unveiled by renowned cardiologist Dr. Santosh Gupta under the aegis of the National Medical Organization (NMO).

The scheme, set to commence in Mango, aims to provide free medical treatment to priests and their families.

Dr. Gupta presented the details of this philanthropic venture during a press conference held at Tulsi Bhawan in Bistupur.

"Our goal is to ensure the well-being of those who dedicate their lives to spiritual service," Dr. Gupta explained. "This initiative is our way of giving back to the community."

The program was developed following a comprehensive survey conducted in collaboration with Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh Mango Nagar, assessing the economic status and family circumstances of local temple priests.

Beneficiaries will receive health cards granting access to a wide range of medical services, including general medicine, gynecology, pediatrics, and various super-specialties.

"We’re committed to providing holistic healthcare. From cardiology to oncology, we’ve ensured coverage across multiple medical disciplines," stated Dr. Amit Kumar, a cancer specialist associated with the initiative.

The scheme also includes provisions for discounted diagnostic tests and assistance in obtaining Ayushman cards for eligible families.

Dr. Panthobi Prasad, a women’s health expert involved in the program, added, "This initiative recognizes the often-overlooked healthcare needs of priests’ families, especially women and children."

Plans are underway to expand the scheme across Jamshedpur, aiming to cover all eligible Acharyas and priests in the region.

The press conference saw attendance from various medical specialists, underlining the comprehensive nature of the healthcare initiative.
